After years and years of waiting, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here – The Legend of Maula Jatt has been released. The most majestic film of Pakistani cinema has made its way to the big screens and the public is just going wild!

The Storyline
Everyone knows what the storyline of Maula Jatt is! But if you don’t, let us tell you of how it appears in the movie. It is a retake of the historic rivalry between a legendary hero, Maula Jatt, and the leader of a vicious gang, Noori Natt. In short, it is an old-school depiction of fighting, revenge, enmity, honor, and masculinity.
Unlike Pakistani films, The Legend of Maula Jatt discovers matters existing in our society today. Instead of having divine interventions and black magic, the plot of this movie revolves around the extremes of masculinity and sexuality.
The Script
The director of The Legend of Maula Jatt, Bilal Lashari, has done a great job in including Punjabi in the movie, and at the same time making it easy for the people of today to understand it. The script includes everything you’d expect to see in a film like this.
It features incredible dialogues such as:
“Maulay nu Maula na maaray te Maula nahi marda!”
and
“Nawa aaya hai soneya?”
The use of such dialogues creates a burning sensation in the audience and praises the actors’ dialogue deliverance.
The Star Performances of The Legend of Maula Jatt
The four main characters of Maula Jatt, Noori Natt, Mukhoo Jattni, and Daaro Nattni have given such exceptional performances that they will be remembered in the history of Pakistani cinema.
Mahira Khan presents her feisty yet innocent character in a perfect manner. Though she has limited screen time, she shares some breath-catching moments with Fawad Khan.
Nobody thought Humaima Malick would make it this big. But just when the audience started to get restless, she snatched their hearts and entire souls away.
Her command over the character and the way she presented the sexual energy and matriarchal authority of the character is flawless.
Hamza Ali Abbasi as Noori Natt was the perfect choice for The Legend of Maula Jatt. There is no replacement for the loudness, craze, and boisterousness he can portray. Abbasi’s performance was just natural. It was what you would expect from him and much more.
Fawad Khan faced with the challenge of living up to Abbasi’s acting. But there is no doubt, that both these characters had chemistry and both were balanced well without anyone overpowering the other.
